At BR Foundation Horses, every horse that enters our care becomes part of something greater — a lineage defined by excellence, temperament, and the kind of foundation work that echoes through generations.
BR Foundation Horses was born from a simple conviction: that every horse deserves a foundation built on patience, understanding, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Located in the rolling countryside of Glen Haven, Wisconsin, our facility serves as both sanctuary and training ground for horses of all disciplines.
Whether you're looking to establish a breeding program, train a young horse for competition, or simply provide your equine partner with the groundwork they deserve, our team brings decades of combined experience and an almost obsessive attention to detail.
Every program begins with core principles — trust, communication, and respect between horse and handler.
No two horses are the same. We tailor every training plan to the individual needs and goals of each animal.
We think in generations, not seasons. Every decision we make considers the lasting impact on the horse's future.
From initial groundwork to advanced competition preparation, we provide comprehensive equine services designed to bring out the best in every horse — and every partnership.
The bedrock of everything we do. Our foundation training programs establish the essential skills, trust, and communication that form the basis of every successful horse-rider relationship.
Thoughtfully planned breeding programs that prioritize conformation, temperament, and genetic diversity. We work with you to develop a strategy that strengthens your bloodline for years to come.
Whether your horse is destined for the show ring or the trail, we prepare them with the precision and care they need to perform at their peak — mentally and physically.
Not sure where to start? Our consulting services provide expert guidance on training plans, facility setup, horse selection, and long-term equine management strategies.
In a world that often prioritizes speed over substance, we choose to slow down. We believe that the most meaningful results in horsemanship come not from force or shortcuts, but from a genuine understanding of the horse — their instincts, their temperament, their potential.
Our approach is rooted in classical training principles, refined through decades of hands-on experience. We don't rush the process. We don't cut corners. And we never lose sight of the fact that behind every training plan is a living, feeling animal who deserves nothing less than our best.
"The quality of a horse's training is measured not by the speed of results, but by the depth of the bond formed between horse and handler. That bond — that's the legacy."
